This portfolio is in draft form at the moment. Throughout the remainder of the year, it is my goal to add more to this site as I begin to collect artifacts reflecting past work and as I journal and blog about current projects and musings. Stay tuned...
Assessment of Advising Services
Since assuming my position as Director of Academic Advising for a newly developed college within the university, I see the potential in the "newness" of our unit. Little data exists at the University of Baltimore regarding student satisfaction and individual experiences as it pertains to advisement. I am hoping that within the next month, I can flush out an assessment plan for the office to include survey development. Development of Interactive Support Program for Working Adults
Working adults attending commuter institutions often claim that they don't have much time to get involved in campus activities, cannot attend educational or career workshops, and struggle finding time to stop in for tutoring. The University of Baltimore offers evening courses beginning at 5:30, running until 10:45p.m. The ability of evening students to take advantage of campus services is limited as office hours for services does not typically extend beyond 7:00 p.m. Determining alternative times and delivery methods for service is of importance this term. A review of options such as lunch hour Skype sessions, webinars, online chats and podcasts of workshops is on my to-do.
